My name is Ed Tegland, and I am your Harlem Township Highway Commissioner. I have lived in the Harlem Township from 1951 until now, with the exception of a few years in Rockford. My life has evolved in the Rockford area from my time in the Harlem School District, stocking shelves at Logli pacemaker, driving boats for the Rockford Ski Broncs, and a dedicated career as a bricklayer. I have enormous pride and nostalgia when I think about the Harlem Township and the greater Rockford area.
I have built my union career and fostered the development of the surrounding community with hard-work, loyalty, and dedication. I am a proud family-man and car whiz and I am excited to continue to serve my community as your appointed official.
